How it all began

The story of our Save the Date: Four Years in the Making

On November 26th, 2019— four months into Cam and I dating— we went on a date to the MFA. I was incredibly excited to see the Vincent Van Gogh exhibit, especially, The Ravine— my favorite painting.

After which, we went to the Lucky Strike Arcade where we found a photo booth. We took some photos of ourselves in the photo booth and when it came time to choose the frame for the photos we found one that said “Save the Date”. As we were only 4 months into our relationship, we thought it was hilarious to choose that frame. That photo is the furthest to the left on our save the date.

In July 2021, we went on another date to Boston Bowl and got our photo taken in their photo booth. We were delighted to find the exact “Save the Date” frame and selected it to be printed with our photos. That photo is the middle on our save the date.

In August of the next year, Cam proposed to me. The photo furthest to the right on our save the date is the photos we took a few months later.

On that date in November of 2019, neither of us in the moment could have ever imagined that four years later we would be getting married and using those photo booth photos as our Save the Date.

Cam & Emma

We met in 2015 while working on Star Island. We had one conversation. Over the next few years, we caught each others’ eyes on social media, and in 2019 we both returned to the island & began our relationship. Four years later, we're best friends, dog parents, and life-long partners. We can’t wait to celebrate our commitment to each other with you!

And the rest is history
